About Al Buraimi University College

Al Buraimi University College (BUC) is the first higher education institution in Al Buraimi Governorate, in the Sultanate's north-west. It was established in response to the call for the private sector to invest in higher education. The college was among the first institutions in Oman to gain institutional accreditation from the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance (OAAAQA). It counts around 5,000 graduates and 1,000 active students. Its portfolio covers English language and translation, business administration and accounting, information technology (including software engineering, artificial intelligence and cyber security), and an Arabic-language law department extending to master's and doctoral study in public and private law, alongside an MBA in business administration.
