About College of Banking and Financial Studies

The College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS) was established in 1983 by Royal Decree. It is Oman's premier institution for banking, finance and business education, playing a pivotal role in the development of the Sultanate's financial sector. The college offers foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes: bachelor's degrees in business administration (management, marketing, human resources), a BSc in accounting, auditing and finance, a BA in business and management and a BSc in data science, all designed with input from industry. At postgraduate level, CBFS delivers an MSc in Accounting and Finance as well as an Executive MBA in partnership with the University of Strathclyde. Teaching combines academic rigour with practical application to produce graduates who are immediately effective professionals.
