About Royal Danish Academy of Music

The Royal Danish Academy of Music (Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium, RDAM) is Denmark's oldest conservatory, founded in 1867 in Copenhagen. A public institution under the Danish Ministry of Culture, it is located in Frederiksberg. It trains professional musicians, composers, conductors, musicologists and educators, from bachelor's to doctoral level, in classical performance, composition, conducting, church music and music pedagogy. Several programmes are available in English for international students. Admission is by audition, with an application fee and tuition fees for non-EU/EEA students in line with Danish legislation. The academy sustains an intense concert life and collaborates with Denmark's major musical institutions.
