Vienna University of Economics and Business

The Vienna University of Economics and Business (Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, WU) is an Austrian public institution whose history goes back to the Export Academy founded in 1898. It is today the largest economics and business university in Central and Eastern Europe, with around 20,000 students. It offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral programmes in economics and social sciences, business administration, finance and accounting, marketing, international business, business law, logistics, and business informatics, including its flagship interdisciplinary bachelor in Business, Economics and Social Sciences. Since 2013 it has been located on the Campus WU near Vienna's Prater, whose buildings, designed by international architecture firms, have won numerous awards. As a public university, WU applies the Austrian statutory tuition framework: the standard tuition fee is EUR 363.36 per semester, rising to EUR 726.72 per semester for third-country nationals, i.e. roughly EUR 1,453 per year for a non-EU student.
