About Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN)

Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) is a private Malaysian university owned by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), the country's largest power utility. Its origins go back to the ILSAS training institute, established in 1976, which became a full university in 1997. UNITEN operates two campuses: Putrajaya Campus (Kajang, Selangor), the main hub with state-of-the-art laboratories, and the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Campus in Bandar Muadzam Shah, Pahang, home to the College of Business Management and Accounting. The university hosts more than 38,000 students from over 30 countries and offers foundation, undergraduate, master's and doctoral programmes in electrical, mechanical and civil engineering, computing, energy management, accounting, finance and business. It consistently ranks among the country's top private universities.
