Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP)

Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) is a public university located in Semarang, the capital of Central Java Province. Founded in 1957 and made a public institution in 1960, it is named after Prince Diponegoro and now holds "Unggul" accreditation, ranking among the best universities in the province and the country. UNDIP is organised into eleven faculties covering law, economics and business, medicine, engineering, animal and agricultural sciences, fisheries and marine sciences, social and political sciences, the humanities, public health, mathematics and natural sciences, and psychology. Its graduate school administers numerous master's and doctoral programmes, including flagship degrees in coastal management and marine science. Tuition follows the national UKT system, paid each semester and divided into eight groups ranging from about IDR 500,000 per semester for the lowest band up to IDR 22,000,000 for the most expensive programmes, with each study programme having its own officially published fee schedule; graduate programmes are governed by separate rectoral decisions setting UKT and IPI per programme.
