Universitas Andalas (UNAND)

Universitas Andalas (UNAND) is a public university located in Padang, West Sumatra Province. Established in 1956, it is the oldest university on Sumatra and the fourth public university founded in Indonesia, holding "Unggul" accreditation from BAN-PT. UNAND is organised into about fifteen faculties covering agriculture, medicine, law, economics and business, engineering, mathematics and natural sciences, pharmacy, public health, veterinary medicine, social and political sciences, the humanities, agricultural sciences and nursing. Its graduate school administers master's and doctoral programmes across most of these disciplines, including flagship degrees in tropical agricultural science. Tuition follows the national UKT system, divided into seven groups ranging from about IDR 500,000 per semester for the lowest band up to IDR 12,000,000 for the most expensive programmes, with the possibility to apply for a reduction; graduate programmes carry their own per-programme fees, published officially by the university at each intake.
