About United Arab Emirates University

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is the country's oldest and leading federal university. Founded in 1976 by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, it is located in Al Ain, the "garden city" of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. UAEU is a comprehensive research university: its nine colleges span engineering, medicine and health sciences, law, business and economics, education, science, information technology, agriculture and the humanities, from bachelor's to doctoral level. It ranks within the world's top 250 in the QS rankings. Per-credit fees remain among the most affordable in the country relative to the institution's standing. The Chancellor's Fellowship grants 50% to 100% tuition waivers, monthly stipends and health insurance to high-performing master's and PhD candidates. Graduates qualify for the UAE Green Visa, a five-year residence route requiring no employer sponsor.
