About IHE Delft Institute of Higher Education

The IHE Delft Institute for Water Education is the largest international graduate water education facility in the world. Based in Delft, it operates under the auspices of UNESCO and traces its origins back to a hydraulic engineering institute founded in 1957. The institute offers an MSc in Water and Sustainable Development and a research MSc, alongside PhD programmes, short and online courses, covering integrated water management, sanitation, hydrology and water governance. Courses are taught in English to professionals from all over the world, in particular from developing countries. PhD candidates conduct their research partly in their home country and partly in Delft. With a global alumni network spanning more than 190 countries and partnerships with governments, development banks and international organisations, IHE Delft is a key player in the water-related Sustainable Development Goals.
