Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) is a public member of Qatar Foundation, located in Education City, Doha. Named after the former Emir, it has established itself as a hub of research and innovation. It exclusively offers master's and doctoral programs through its colleges of law, science and engineering, health and life sciences, public policy and Islamic studies (CIS, CHSS, CSE, CHLS, CL, CPP). Fees vary by program, for example a Master in Islamic Finance at QAR 2,500 per credit hour (QAR 90,000 for 36 credits over two years, i.e. QAR 45,000 per year), and doctorates such as the PhD in Islamic Finance and Economy at QAR 150,000 in total.
